Course registration confirmations were mailed home in early March. A reminder that the deadline for course changes is Wednesday, March 20. If a course change is desired after March 20, there is not guarantee that the change can occur and the change would require a $30 course change fee. March 20 is also the final deadline to pay AP course fees, after which time the additional $30 course change fee will apply.

SENIOR PARENTS: Call to DONATE MARIAN SWEATERS!
As our seniors celebrate NO MORE SWEATERS EVER - please consider donating any sweaters in good repair back to the school. Not only would you be helping out future students, but you will also help keep our school safe as we prevent our uniforms from general public donation circulation.
Our wonderful NHS students will have collection boxes available in the Social Science wing - or you can send in your sweaters to the front office and we will make sure they are ready for our FREE Used Uniform event at the beginning of the summer!

COLLEGE COUNSELOR'S CORNER
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…sometimes other people are just better at giving advice than I am.
This is one of those cases. On the heels of my post in last week’s Friday Focus, I offer thoughts/advice from The Washington Post’s Elizabeth Heubeck on helping students deal with college rejection. Heubeck’s defining “rejection” in this sense as “not being admitted to a top choice school”, but I’ll expand the definition to include “realizing that a top choice school isn’t affordable”; in other words, financial rejection.
Heubeck’s advice seems like one of those things someone would read and say “Easier said than done!” But really and truly, the advice she provides is good and intended to help students learn and grow from the rejection experience. Heaven knows they’ll face it many more times in the future.
Here's the link to Heubeck’s article. As always, I hope you’ll find it helpful:
